Welcome! I’m Allison Brown, a creative professional with a strong background in New Media Studies and extensive experience in marketing, event planning, and digital content creation. My journey began at Alma College, where I produced a variety of video and audio projects, collaborating with fellow students to transform their ideas into compelling digital presentations. My education equipped me with hands-on experience using industry-standard tools like Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Audition, as well as Canon Pro Camera Systems, Rhino Steady Camera gear, and website management platforms such as Wix and WordPress.
A significant part of my college experience involved collaborating with the Dance Department, where I assisted senior students in recording and editing their final projects for portfolios and conference presentations. This collaboration started during the peak of COVID-19 regulations, when I worked with a dance major to record performances so that students’ families and peers could view their work remotely. By volunteering my time, I not only gained expertise with various camera and editing technologies but also established valuable connections with students who sought experienced help in crafting their own digital projects.
After college, my career has taken me through various roles where I honed essential skills in management, multitasking, and time management. In my position as Marketing Manager at Orin Jewelers, I’ve gained invaluable experience in marketing, inventory management, event coordination, SEO, and website maintenance. I manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines across different fields, constantly pushing myself to find new and creative approaches to marketing that capture the largest possible audience. My focus has been on keeping Orin Jewelers’ social media and marketing assets fresh, dynamic, and engaging for both new and existing customers.
